It has a large amount of service history; work detailed includes a new engine wiring loom and head gasket replacement (done by the main dealer) along with a new windscreen and routine servicing. Within the last period of usage the car was thoroughly serviced with new filters, fluids, oil and plugs, it was treated to brand new tyres all round together in 2019.
The car has been dry stored for a couple of years and recently I have got it running, replacing the fuel and fitted a new battery and it now drives well, runs up to temperature, doesn’t overheat and ticks over beautifully. It now needs MOT preparation including cleaning up or replacement brake pads and discs and other minor fettling.
I have had various works done to the roof mechanism, including;
- Refurbish roof control module.
- Replacement of various cylinders including tonneau cover/ rear lock cylinder, both extension cylinder and both tonneau cover lift cylinder and main lift cylinder.
- Drain and refill of the correct Hydraulic Fluid
- Rebuilt Roof pump.
It now goes most of the way down but then fails near the end of the sequence, probably a roll bar issue. The hood fabric needs renewing. I have other projects which are now diverting my attention.
She’s a sound car, but does have the hood issue, the seatbelt butlers don’t work (needs a new control module) and she needs a bit of recommisioning, but she is sold at a pricing point to take this into account.
As well as the paperwork, I have the V5c present in my name and a single set of keys. A modern classic with the best engine which is well optioned and a satisfying project!
