Description
My father bought this Hillman in 1969 and proceeded to restore it to its former glory. It had a rebuilt engine, new cable brakes. Recored radiator. New hood etc etc. He used it for only around 1500 miles before my sister was born. He put it into a barn to store on blocks with the water drained and never got to use it again. The steering box was also a new one he found. The engine turns smoothly by hand. I havent got a 6v battery to try it. The brakes are free and wheels turn easily. The chassis was well protected and shows no rot. Infact i cant find any unwanted rust holes anywhere on it! The speedo now shows 32217 miles.
Sadly the time has now come to sell it. There are some spares inclluding whele rims, drums/ hubs. gaskets etc. We have all of the orignal log books from new upto the 1980's blue one. So even though it does not appear on the DVLA database, the registration number can be kept. This is a completely unique coach built Hilman. A true 1930's drivers car.
