EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES
At its launch, the Continental R was the most powerful and fastest Bentley ever built. Not only that, but until the Azure convertible arrived a few years later, it was also the most expensive production car in the world, priced at more than £180, 000 (in excess of £350, 000 in today’s money).
This car is finished in the sophisticated and elegant combination of British Racing Green with bright chrome front grilles, over a cream and green two-tone leather cabin featuring burr wood inlays as well as a green carpets.
It rides on 17-inch seven-spoke alloy wheels, shod in Avon Turbospeed CD228-D tyres.
The specification includes electrically adjustable front seats with four-position memory, cruise control, dual-zone temperature control with air conditioning, ‘Town and Country’ horns, an Alpine stereo with central cubby holder CD changer, an outside temperature gauge, and an automatically dimming rear-view mirror.
Included in the sale is the owner’s book pack, the stamped service booklet, an extensive file of paperwork and invoices, the V5C and two sets of keys.
CONDITION

Specific notes from the seller include: the paintwork is generally in good condition and shows some stone chipping. The interior is also in good condition overall but does show some normal light wear on the driver’s seat.
The seller is not aware of any electrical or mechanical faults.
The most recent MOT test took place on 20 August 2024 at 82, 920 miles, resulting in a first-time pass with no advisories.
A fresh MOT certificate will be required before the car returns to the road.
SERVICE HISTORY
The latest service was carried out in August 2024.
Prior to this, in February 2023 at 82, 750 miles an engine oil and filter change and a general inspection were performed.
Prior to this, the seller notes the car has been serviced annually during their tenure regardless of mileage.
During their ownership the suspension has all been replaced including the spheres at the rear, as well as the brake discs and pads, all the fluids, and the gearbox has been serviced.
