At its launch, the Continental R was the most powerful and fastest Bentley ever built. Not only that, but until the Azure convertible arrived a few years later, it was also the most expensive production car in the world, priced at more than £180, 000 (in excess of £900000 in today’s money).
This car is finished in the sophisticated and elegant combination of British Racing Green with bright chrome front grilles, over a cream and green two-tone leather cabin featuring burr wood inlays as well as a green carpets.
It rides on 17-inch seven-spoke alloy wheels, shod in Avon Turbospeed CD228-D tyres.
The specification includes electrically adjustable front seats with four-position memory, cruise control, dual-zone temperature control with air conditioning, ‘Town and Country’ horns, an Alpine stereo with central cubby holder CD changer, an outside temperature gauge, and an automatically dimming rear-view mirror.

During their ownership the suspension has all been replaced including the spheres at the rear, as well as the brake discs and pads, all the fluids, and the gearbox has been serviced.
