Description
The Bentley Mulsanne S was the cutting edge of what could be achieved when it was released in the late 80's. A proper Crewe built car with heritage in its roots.
This is a fine example of the Mulsanne, in a classic Bentley colour combination.
Starting with the bodywork, everything is fully original, the car has never had paint or replacement panels. I am not going to pretend it is concourse, because it is not. There are a few blemishes here and there and the front arches have a little bit of paint peeling ever so slightly but only visible within 50cm. There is no rust bubbling on the car anywhere. Overall the paintwork is in good condition and the alloys are unmarked. There is enough metalwork to form a brass band, all in good condition as well.
Underneath, it is a very honest car, with no nasty under-seal hiding anything, adding to the originality of the vehicle.
The car is an absolute joy to drive, it is quite easily the most comfortable and effortless car I have had the pleasure of driving, the seats are incredible comfortable and the suspension is very soft and forgiving. The 6. 75L V8 is very smooth but has a nice note to it when you accelerate.
The interior is in good condition too, slight wear on the armrests but nothing unordinary.
Mechanically in great working order, has absolutely. loads of history with it, and has had any job done it has ever needed. All advisories taken care of at most recent MOT, which expires September 2025. I have done several long trips in the car and would not hesitate to take it on a long road trip away.
The only non-standard thing on the car is the parking sensors which were fitted, and blend seamlessly into the rear bumped, but could be removed if desired.
Overall, a very usable example which has plenty of life left for a new owner to love it. I bought the car mid 2023, as a treat to myself when I saw it and instantly fell in love. It is such a joy to drive and gets admired far more than my modern toys whenever I take it out.
