These were factory built in South Africa and were not available in the UK. Here we have a 1975 Ford Cortina Mk3 Pickup. RHD import from South Africa. It has a UK period-correct registration number/ v5 and is MOT/ TAX exempt.
Key Features
Bodywork:
Solid and original front to back. Underneath is immaculate: chassis rails, battery tray, and floors all in good condition. the rear tub is in excellent condition with a roll bar fitted. Don't think this has ever been used for work in its life. Paint is nice. Comes with a tonneau cover too.
Mechanics:
Equipped with a 1600 crossflow. Engine starts easily and runs really smooth. It has been upgraded with a 5-speed manual gearbox at some point. The clutch is high so could do with a new one. The carburettor may need some adjustment due to the change in climate. Will need a service and checking over as we recommend with all imports before taking on the road.
Interior:
The interior is in really good condition and the seats are comfortable.
Wheels:
Wheels and tyres are in good condition.
Additional Notes:
This is a really nice example of a mk3 pickup and probably one of the best we have seen. Its obviously never been used as a work truck and would turn eyes where ever it goes!
