A 1968 Velocette Thruxton, fast, balanced. A bit outdated for some, a fantasy for others. With, in the collective psyche, a fairly complex engine. But the reality is a bit far off, and this bike didn’t come from the brain of a learned engineer, nor from the drawing board of a brilliant designer. It is the sum of finds and improvements provided by ingenious craftsmen working in the same spirit since the beginning of the century, and until 1971. The miracle is that the addition of this ingenuity could produce such a machine , as simple as it is sharp, and swift !
