Honda CX500CB custom. Registered in 1983 so one of the last of these very rare versions of the CX500 in the UK.
Has been restored to a good standard some years ago. Appeared as an article in the Honda Owners Club mag. Lots of history with this lovely example.
The original owner, who bought it brand new in London, sold this bike to a well known London classic bike dealer last year, and I bought it from him.
Only for sale as I am struggling for room in my small but ever-growing collection of older bikes. Tax and MOT exempt, but it has a current MOT until September 2025.
Has had lots of servicing and maintenance over the years, including replacement battery, coils etc in the last few years. As a result it starts and rides very well. Has many miles under its wheels, but rides like a low mileage bike. Pulls like a train, super smooth gearbox, stops well.
Just a lovely thing really, would take you on a big trip if you wanted it to.
I replaced the speedo as the original went on strike. After 88, 000 miles, that's fair enough. The only thing not perfect is the exhaust collector chrome finisher is missing on the right side (by the footpeg). Very cheap to replace with a part off Ebay for £35.

It looks as good in the flesh as the pictures show (I took them today - 15th Jan).
Will surely only go up in value if kept in this condition. Appreciating classic that you can actually use.
Stacks of paperwork. Recently had carbs cleaned, new battery, plugs and coils. Oil and filer changed.
MOT til Sept (even though it doesnt need one - MOT exempt).
