Description
Triumph GT6 Mk2 rotoflex
restoration project
Reg GRO 670K
Very desirable and with most GT6's particularly round-tails over 20k now, this presents an excellent opportunity.
They are really quite simple to restore and parts are affordable and easily sourced.
My GT6 is really quite a solid thing with excellent chassis, good boot floor and even around the tailgate is just surface rust. Rear arches are very good and the roof is a desirable non sunroof.
The sills have plenty to work with being solid. The floors are good too but the centres were replaced with steel rather than Triumph ribbed ones- probably from a time when panels weren't available, all strong, inner sills standard and very good.
There is a fibreglass tunnel- an upgrade to the original soft-board. Seats are original.
The engine cranks over, ignition lights work and there is spark but it won't quite fire- its very cold and not been used so probably needs new points/ rotor sparks - they're very simple engines to work on.
Wipers work, lights, indicators work too including horn and main beam.
Tyres are new and the wheels professionally re-painted.
The car was originally a dark red, Triumph crimson/ damson which you can see under the blue in places.
if you spent a few weeks sanding this all down and a re-paint the value would increase dramatically- I would do
it myself but have new stock arriving so its just lack of time. Excellent retirement project!
Car rolls easily for collection.
Come and view/ discuss, I can deliver at buyers cost once viewed.
