Renault Vel Satis 3. 5 Initiale V6 Auto, in Cosmic grey with carbon black leather interior. Low miles and a lovely colour combination makes this one a desirable example.
The car was put back on the road at the end of 2020 by myself for him to drive after I acquired it as a barn find needing work. It drives absolutely beautifully and has had lots of suspension work up front and back at circa 69k miles.
Mechanicals is this cars strong point as it honestly is the best driving Vel Satis i've ever got behind the wheel of, and I've drove a lot of them these days! The gearbox is so smooth and the suspension is tight and there are no rattles.
Few highlights of work done in 2020 (only 9k miles ago)
-New shocks all 4 corners
-New discs and pads all 4 corners
-Brake calipers overhauled
-4 matching tyres
-Anti roll bar links replaced all corners
-Bottom ball joints done front
-Both auxiliary drive belts replaced.
-Oil and filter changed about 2k miles ago.
Recently its just had the servo repaired
properly and the brakes bled.
Bodywork is ok not the best not the worst, there is a gouge on the rear left 3/ 4 panel and a few scuffs but it still tidies up well! Someone who wants to make it pristine can spend a bit of money making it tip top again. The alloys are in great shape and there are 4 matching tyres with plenty tread left.
The AC doesnt work as the condenser has a leak and the rear parking sensors are intermittent. Also the radio tuner has stopped but the 6CD changer works; needs a new radio aerial wiring in.
No daft offers please because these are now rare as hens teeth and it is becoming impossible to find low mileage 3. 5 V6 examples!
