Update No. 2 03/ 02/ 2025 I’ve booked the car in for a check over and then MOT on 12th Feb, to give you extra peace of mind.
Update 25/ 01/ 2025: I’ve had a few enquiries asking about the underside, so I took it onto a friend’s ramp and have added the photos I took, plus I lifted the carpets and took those photos too. There is a very amount of bubbling on the wings just in front of where they meet the door but that hasn’t changed in the time I’ve owned the car.
This car has had the 1275cc A series engine fitted, which gives it better performance in modern traffic. Other upgrades are servo assisted disc brakes, alternator, stainless steel exhaust, inertia less three point seat belts are fitted to the rear seats and a new battery has been fitted. It runs on unleaded E5 petrol.
The mileage quoted in this advert might be from when the engine was upgraded but I cannot confirm that, other than by what some old MOT certificates show.
The woodwork and the interior are perfect and this car is easily able to be used as a daily driver should you wish to.
It is ULEZ, Tax and MOT exempt, so great if you live somewhere where ULEZ is in force.
The car will come with all the history I have and both an indoor and outdoor cover. It has been kept garaged until one month ago when I lost the storage where it was kept, which is one reason we are selling it, the other being we are now not using it as much as we were.
There have been 6 previous owners, which for a 55 year old car is pretty good. I bought it from a good friend in July 2018, as a present for my wife, as I wanted one with the updated engine and brakes to make it safer for her.
It always makes us smile when driving it and it gets lots of attention wherever we go, youngsters cannot believe what they see and ask “is that real wood.”.
