Description
I am not a fan of the terms such as “time warp” or “barn find”
but my 1992 1. 4 Ford Fiesta Flight which been in storage for the last 22 years and has only 38, 800k really does qualify as being a genuine garage find which is in unmolested, un-welded condition.
It still has its original rubber matts, parcel shelf, fully working Ford 2000 cassette radio. It has never been welded. It is 100% rock solid. It has had 3 owners including myself (I have owned it since 2023) and has only 38, 800 miles. There is the original bill of sale along with the service book and receipts. It was serviced regularly and the last stamp in the full service book is stamped up to 16/ 3/ 01. Sadly that is when the owner (who I believe worked for BSM) past away the car was locked up in a garage by her husband and then left for 22 years. I bought this car for my mother as it was the same spec as what she had back in the day. Unfortunately, she doesn't need it so it is for sale. Since then, it has been fully recommissioned which includes:
x4 new tyres (spare is a used one with good tread), all new rubber brake hoses, 2x new front disks, new pads, new callipers, new rear brake shoes, 2x new rear brake cylinders, new Exhaust (the end silencer is a good used replacement), new valve springs, new valve guides, timing belt fitted, along with an oil and filter change and new fluid, coolant and also wax preventative treatment (photo's available of this being done). The service book is stamped up to 16/ 03/ 01 at 35, 658 which is when it was taken off the road. I have receipts and photos of the work that's been done. This car passed its MOT for the first time in 22 years with no advisories and the MOT tester said that it is like a 5 year old car. This car is eligible for classic car insurance and is great on fuel and easy to maintain. This Fiesta Flight is similar to Ghia in specification as it comes with central locking, rear wiper, remote boot lock, wheels, sun roof etc. The front seats are good and don’t show the usual signs of age with the fabric flapping around.
No doubt that the 20 years of dry storage has helped with the preservation of this car and It has had a very well cared for 10 years on the road. There is (surprisingly little) typical evidence of these years of use and nothing that detracts from the very straight look of this car. This car is 33 years old. I am not selling it as being in perfect condition, but as a beautiful, straight and original rare survivor which drives beautifully.
A new MOT can be arranged as I am sure that it will pass without issue.
Cash only sale, no scammers please.
Thanks for looking. Dry stored for over 20 years 38, 800 miles

Fully stamped service history up to 16/ 03/ 01 at approx 35, 658k. It was due for a service when the owner passed on so it never received its next 3k service a 38k.
