Description

Vehicle overview
Mini Cooper Sport in excellent condition with low mileage and extensive / interesting history file.
Registered on 28th September 2001, this is a late registered classic Mini allocated a 51 registration.
All receipts from new are within the history file including the original sales invoice dated 30th September 2001 to the late Sir Peter Tapsell, who purchased this Mini for his wife Lady Gabrielle Tapsell.
They owned the car in Lincolnshire for almost 15 years, where much of the no expense spared extensive history was completed at Laurels of Horncastle.
The second local owner was a friend of the family who continued the history file from May 2016 to May 2020; the Mini then came to us in Derbyshire for the last 4 years / 1300 miles.
Total current mileage 20, 296.
The history file is summarised within the photographs, listing all paperwork that comes with the car starting with the original sales receipt from Wrights Rover of Boston, Lincolnshire.
The original sales invoice details the request of Lady Tapsell for the car to be supplied with no silver bonnet stripes and an all black steering wheel (rather than black/ silver).
During our ownership, we have enjoyed numerous visits to local car shows where the car has always been admired.
The polished and ceramic coated paintwork is in excellent condition - no rust in the usual places, with the scuttle and around headlights in perfect condition.
The interior feels and smells like new.
The original alloy wheels are unmarked and are complimented with a full set of matching tyres.
The engine bay is extremely clean and tidy and the underside of the car has been under sealed.
Very good MOT history, no advisories since 2017, next MOT due May 2025 (fresh MOT will be supplied).
The original condition is a reflection of the care this car has received over the years.
Asking price includes private registration Y2 GBY (formerly FK51 TTG).
The original dealer registration plates are included in the sale, as is the original Wrights Rover key fob and two sets of keys.
Please call for more details. For information : Sir Peter Tapsell served in the House of Commons continuously from 1966 until 2015, and was also previously an MP from 1959 to 1964. He was Father of the House between 2010 and 2015. With a total parliamentary service of 54 years, he is one of the longest-serving MPs in British history. Sir Peter passed away in August 2018.
