Description
I'm letting my excellent little Rally 2 go to a new owner, since my long-term project is finally due to be on the road and assuming duties as my new daily driver, and I'll be needing the parking space & don't need 3 cars
This has been by far the most reliable, economical and dependable car I've ever had, covering about 8k miles since December 2023 without ever letting me down. I suspect I'll regret selling him on, but needs must
1 of 17 on the road, and don't be fooled by the badge - its a proper pocket rocket. 110 bhp K3VE2 (Toyota built) naturally aspirated 1. 3 litre Twin-Cam, weighs 850 kgs. 0-60 in 7. 8 seconds, so quicker than a Panda 100HP, Suzuki Swift Sport, Fabia vRS etc.
Averages 42 mpg and around 52 on the motorway. Had a new rear wheel bearing for £20 and 4 new good quality tyres a couple of months ago + tracking and alignment for £300
No performance upgrades, only a stainless back box which gives it a fantastic deep 'Baby VR6' sound, and I fitted it with £170 IPF Performance Rally lights imported from Japan, same as those used on the competition Daihatsu rally cars
Comes with 2 spare wheels and tyres, spare oil and filter, 3 keys, owners bookpack, plus the original gearstick and front fog lights if you wanted to go back to stock. Mudflaps are easily removable and it has over £100 of custom rally decals from DemonGraphics
Has to be one of the nicest examples of a Daihatsu Rally on the road, so open to offers, but nothing insultingThe reliability of a Toyota, economy of a Smart Car, price of a Fiat, rarity of a supercar, and 0-60 time of a Twin-Turbo VW Touareg 5. 0 V10... What more could you want from a daily runabout?
