Keith raced the bike in the 1986 transatlantic trophy races, world and British f1 and the MCN superstock British championship in which he won two rounds and finished third overall in series.
The bike was built by Keith and Harris engineering with all the right period parts needed to win races back in the day including Marvic 16 inch magnesium wheels- white power remote resevoir shock special forks Harris billet yolks Harris rear sets - Harris adjustable clip ons Harris quick release race pipe - Harris battery box and catch tank - Caliper brackets and Dural torque arm -Ap racing four pot Calipers to front and underslung rear- ap racing master cylinders - scitsu rev counter blueprinted motor running both mikuni vm29s (superstock) and mikuni rs34 flatslides . lithium battery - 520 did gold race chain with set of front rear sprockets.
The bike was purchased by a collector from HH auctions and then purchased by me in 2016 when it was sympathetically restored to retain the original parts and patina (except original wheels and fairing which will be included in the sale)
The bike originally used 16 inch front and rear wheels as was the fashion for race bikes back in the day (which i still have and will be included) but as suitable race tyres are no longer available there are two sets of 17 inch wheels .
There is also a large and comprehensive spares kit .
I have paraded bike since 2017 at many classic events including classic TT , Spa , Donnington, etc , it never misses a beat and wants for nothing that currently resides in my study it is very usable and one off piece of classic racing history and great investment, bike is located in west Sussex you are very welcome to come and have a look and make me a sensible offer you will not be dissapointed !
