I have owned the car for almost 9 years and during my ownership have spent many thousands maintaining the car to a high standard. This includes a complete AHK overhaul including refurbished steering pump, new hydraulic pipes and AHK module, rebuilt differential, new A/ C compressor, spark plugs, distributor caps and much more listed below. Over the years I have ensured the car has been maintained by the leading BMW specialists in the UK to ensure quality of work and the right expertise to work on such a rare car.
The car is in great mechanical order and drives faultlessly. The engine is smooth and pulls strongly in all gears. The interior is in wonderful condition with the headlining benefitting from a retrim in an anthracite Alcantara-style material. The sunroof operates faultlessly with new guides and runners installed. The seats show almost no wear or fade. The gear knob shows some wear reflective of its age and mileage.
On the exterior the paint presents well with a deep shine and the Oxford Green really comes alive in the sun. The front carries age related stone chips and marks but nothing that overly detracts from its originality. I had rust removed from the sills and jacking points at Classic Heroes at a cost of over £7, 000. The wheels are unmarked and were properly restored with aluminium polishing. The tyres are Michelin Pilot Sports with less than 500 miles on.
The car comes with 2 keys, Log book and a full and detailed service history dating back to when the car was purchased new from Bedford BMW in 1995. The first aid kit is present with all the contents still in original packaging. The tool kit in the boot lid is also complete. Mileage/ Date/ Garage/ Work Completed
