1938 Ford 85 1.5 Ton Truck Rat Truck Hot Rod Diesel V8

I am offering for sale my wonderful pre-war truck – 1938 Ford “85” dump truck on a Ford F350 rolling chassis.
The pre-war truck with a load capacity of 1. 5 tons was originally equipped with a flathead V8 engine with an output of 85HP, a 4-speed non-synchro’d gearbox (gear changes take ages), and a 6. 66 drive axle, i. e. we aretalking about a maximum speed of 60km/ h,  as well as the original front suspension -steering system affectionally described by experts as “suicide”.
It is obvious that such a car cannot be driven freely in current traffic conditions. I decided to make a pre-war truck suitable foreveryday use for today's road conditions and one that potentially nobody else worldwide can claim to have!
The key task, however, was to fit a gigantic 6. 9/ 7. 3 V8 Diesel IDI (indirect diesel injection) engine from International Harverster, produced for Ford in the years 1983-1993, under the hood.
I called the project "craftsman edition I" because ultimately it is not only toy but also potentially a work vehicle for an old-school craftsman. A show truck that you can drive every day, especially in the summer season, and also earning money. It's WMO-ready anyway, if you know what I mean.
Here we are dealing with a car from South Dakota that has been standing for about 70 years and has a genuine "vintage" aesthetic. You will not achieve such patina in a year or ten years. Nothing is artificially enhanced nor painted.
It was known from the beginning that the task would be very, very difficult. The scale of difficulty still exceeded our expectations in any case. However, over the course of two years, I managed to create the project of my dreams.
After almost 2, 000 hours of labour, including road tests, I managed to create a product that meets my expectations. It wasn't easy, even after 25 years and hundreds of thousands of hours in the workshop repairing unusual cars, tuning, modifications, and engine swaps.
Rewiring the electrical system, based on the original model but better-than-factory quality took over 100 hours. All connections are soldered.
Technical details:
International Harvester V8 7. 3 IDI engine, Borg Warner 4 speed gearbox, Ford 10. 5" rear axle, new 3. 55 gear ratio - adjusted by experts. All the original gauges work, indicating correct data (incredibly time consuming). There is no problem withaccelerating the truck to 120 km/ h, but it has  a comfortable "cruising" speed of 90 km/ h.
I can offer technical support to the new buyer. However, everything is done according to generally accepted rules. A list of the parts installed with the part numbers and donor vehicles is available.
Why am I selling? I have already started another crazy project.
