Description
Beautiful matching numbers, factory silver 911T, produced May 1973 and first delivered July 1973 to a doctor in Germany. The car comes with its original German ‘’Fahrzeugbrief’ which is the German ‘Vehicle Title’ and documents the 3 owners in Germany before the 3rd owner is understood to have moved back to the U. K. in 1981 when he brought the car with him.
The car wears a very old Porsche Club GB Suffolk Region sticker and an Autofarm sticker dating back to the 80s. The car was then owned by 3 further enthusiasts known to the specialist forums like DDK and Impact Bumpers, before I bought it in 2021 as the 5th U. K. owner.
I bought the car as I wanted a timeless colour and silver cars being a paid for option back in 1973, makes a factory silver car very hard to find, let alone a nice example such as this. The car had been rested up for a while before being recommissioned including some metalwork and a full respray. Importantly the car had not been messed about with like so many and even all the interior parts were in lovely condition. Having viewed and driven quite a few other cars before this one, I instantly knew it was right. With a few jobs to do and my level of attention to detail I placed the car in the care of the renowned Karmann Konnection who were local to me. As per their reputation they meticulously went through the car and sourced and fitted those final details which brought the car up to how I wanted it. Aside from their work, the car was sent to leading porsche interior specialist Southbound Trimmers who put in new carpets, mats and refreshed a few small trims. The 2. 4L engine appears to have been rebuilt at some point, pulling really strong, and the ignition and carbs were recently serviced by GCS Engineering in Horsham.
Overall, the car is an excellent matching numbers example. It is however a 50 year old car and isn’t concours, but it is equally one of the better examples you’ll find. The car comes with a nice thick history file and photos the Certificate of Authenticity is also in the file. The spec and overall condition make at this price, make this an excellent car to invest in and use without worry.
If you’ve looked at others, especially matching numbers examples, you’ll realise I have priced the car extremely fairly for a car of this spec and quality, and I’m looking for a straight forward sale to someone with a real passion for these cars. I would therefore kindly ask that only serious buyers in a position to buy a car to get in touch. Viewings can be done from my family home in Leigh-on-Sea.
