Selling my MGB GT Chrome Bumper with Overdrive – a pristine example of a classic car that you can drive every day!
Recently taken to an MG specialist who conducted a 3 hour inspection of the car and provided a full report which I can provide. Work has since been completed as a result including a new propshaft, suspension bushes, seat belts, new brakes.
I've cherished this car for the past five years, and it's been a genuine pleasure every time I get behind the wheel. Almost every drive brings a compliment or a story from someone who remembers owning one back in the day.
This MGB GT is in exceptional condition:
Rust-Free: No rust in the usual spots. The sills and around the chrome window trim are notorious for rust, but this car has been well-maintained and remains rust-free in these areas.
Engine: Running smoothly with good oil pressure.
Preservation: Always kept under a weatherproof cover when not in use. The vibrant red paint, which often fades on these classics, has been preserved through careful covering (as did the previous owner who kept it inside) and regular polishing.
Overdrive: Comes with the Overdrive, an absolute must-have for the MGB GT if you plan to drive beyond just around town. It provides that extra gear on the motorway, making longer journeys far more comfortable.
Interior: Original interior with the 'back passenger seat'.
Sunroof: Features a Webasto sunroof, perfect for summer drives.
