Golden Sand with a red leather interior. Following its acquisition of Daimleir, Jaguar was met with demand for a replacement for the Daimler Conquest and thus the Daimler 2. 5 V8 was born. Visually similar to the Jaguar Mark II, the 2. 5 V8 would essentially merge JAGUAR'S sleek platform, with Daimler's highly praised Turner 2. 5L V8 drivetrain.
Later, the 2. 5 would receive a light face-lift, in the form of a new slimline bumpers, interior updates, and light mechanical revisions, such as the addition of an alternator, and twin aircleaners. This would of course be designated as the Daimer V8 250 which stood as the greatest combination of Jaguar 's sleek coachwork, and Daimler's impressive engineering.
Today, the Daimler V8 250 still stands a rather significant vehicle in British motoring history as both one of the first Jaguar based Daimler vehicles, and also as the best to feature a Daimler engine.
