Description
This is my Ford escort mk2 RS2000.
Its spent its life in Germany as a road rally car. Now it’s here in the UK and fully registered with DVLA. Only one previous uk owner. I have the v5 logbook which shows it’s an RS2000 with GCAT Chassis number (see pics). It still retains its original shell and vin tags.
This RS2000 has a selection of Group 1 options fitted.

Webber twin 44 IDF carbs ( Ford option when new for gp1 cars)
Big valve head and
Gp1 camshaft
Large exhaust manifold
Rs alloy wheels
Bilstein suspension
Alloy sump and bellhousing
And other specialist parts.
It has a 5 speed type 9 gearbox.
It could be used for competition use or track days, also could easily be put back to a road car.
Its original factory colour is Ford signal green (Picture added, and shown on the logbook/ vin tags under bonnet) you can still see the green in places on the shell but as you can see the car is now in grey primer. I was going to send it for prep, paint and recommissioning. Could be convert to RHD which I have been told is straightforward.
