Description

Having owned the car for 4+ years we’ve completely enjoyed the looks and style plus chats we’ve had from people who have commented on how good the car looks.
It was found in a barn after 10 years of sitting and was restored (I have before and after pictures of the work done) and the work that was carried out was extensive and now the car runs like a dream and pulls very well, the gearbox is excellent too.
The car comes with the usual E23 luxury of electric windows, central locking and electric tilt and slide sunroof.
Although the car is 42years old and is now tax and mot exempt I have maintained the mot as my children have been for rides in the car so it’s been essential to make sure it’s safe to be on the road.
There is a box folder full of paperwork and pictures from the previous 2 owners the later of which was the person who found the car in Newcastle.
I have added BBS alloys however the sale includes 2 sets of 4 original alloys which are metric and both sets would require tyres also the previous owner added a BBS front splitter and a BBS rear spoiler which I have been informed are extremely rare to have.
The car is dry stored in a garage and has been since its restoration.
Now for the not so good bits…… The rev counter does not work but it could be just that it requires a new cable, the radio which is original also doesn’t work which hasn’t bothered me so I haven’t looked into why, the rear electric windows stick quite badly and could do with some attention and finally the drivers seat bolster has worn quite badly but I would say mechanically the car is 99% Bodywork is 99. 9% it’s just the interior is around 75% with the things listed above, the headliner isn’t sagging either.

I think I have covered everything but if there are any questions I’m more than happy to answer or even do a video call.
The car is located a 40 minute drive from Edinburgh airport so I am happy to collect any potential buyer from the airport even in the bmw if requested.
I am only selling the car as my son wants to start car racing and this will help fund his dream but this is a reluctant sale as I had no intention of selling it.
