Citroen DS 21 SUPER 5
5 speed manual.
I purchased this DS in 2015 from the south of FranceCitroen DS 1972, 5 speed manual.
I purchased this DS in 2015 from the south of France.
We drove it back to the UK and it was featured in Practical Classics magazine.
Since owning this DS we have done all the structural welding, boot floor, rear panel and all the Standard places they go rusty.
We fully seam sealed and under sealed so this DS is structurally sound. We also fitted a new exhaust at the same time.
It has been to a Citroen DS specialist to have all the mechanical work done. It is a long list of work that we had done to our DS, the list below is just a small sample.
In our bodyshop, we have removed the roof as the top rail by the windscreen went rusty (as they all do), welded in new parts and then at the same time we repainted the roof.
Just a small list of some of the work we had done:
Windscreen.
Full sevice.
Electronic ignition.
5 new tyres.
A complete new interior.
Removed power steering and realigned it.
Had the brakes overhauled.
Full cavity wax injection.
New fuel tank.
New fuel pump and all new rubbers.
This DS was our family holiday car for a number of years so it’s been to France a number of times and to Croatia but now the kids are grown-up, we no longer use it. So it is time for it to go to a new home.
So structurally and mechanically, this DS is in fine fettle. Cosmetically the doors could do with a bit of work. I do have a number of panels which will be going with the DS as well.
There might be another DS out there that looks prettier but you will not find one at this price structurally as solid as this DS.
This DS is MOT and tax free. We will be putting a new MOT once we have sold it.
