Description

1973 Lancia Fulvia Coupe 1. 3S. OCG959L. Chassis: 818. 631* 046140*, Engine 818. 303* 125032*

A late Series 2 car with Fulvia 3 rear badging. Blue paintwork with burgundy vinyl interior.

First registered in the UK on the 18th July 1973.

1999 - owned by Graham C. Greene CBE from Wotton, near Aylesbury, who was a book publisher by profession, as well as a trustee and later chairman of the of the British Museum. His father was Director General of the BBC, and was also the nephew of Graham Greene, the novelist. We saw the car once during his ownership, for a wheel bearing change and a few minor MoT issues.

Subsequently owned by Mr Brown, also from near Aylesbury.

2004 - Bought by current owner and moved to Norfolk. Kept in covered conditions since.  Owner's interests have shifted towards classic military vehicles and he says it is unlikely he will get round to this project, and therefore someone else should take over.

Original engine (818. 303* 098289*) removed at some point and replaced with a similar specification unit from a 1975 car.

This engine swap happened prior to 1999, but don't know when, or the exact reason - but likely there was a fault with the original and a secondhand engine from a scrapped car was deemed the most economic way of keeping the car running. The core specifications of the two engines are identical.

The body will need work to the sills on both sides of the car, as well as to the subframe, and parts of the floor. Also there is cossion to the front edge of the bonnet, the headlamp and grille panels and the rear edge of the boot lid, as well as the doorskins.

Car appears to be 99% complete with some carpeting missing and an external bright finisher missing. Engine was running 12 years ago. Speedometer shows 92502 miles.

The car is currently at Omicron where it can be inspected. Car will require transportation from Omicron's premises and they can assist with transport if necessary at their current rate (£1. 20+ VAT per mile). 1973 - constructed in Turin, and first registered in the UK on the 18th July 1973.

1999 - owned by a Mr. Graham Greene from Aylesbury.
Subsequently owned by a Mr. Brown, also from nearby Aylesbury.

2004 - bought by current owner and relocated to Norfolk. Stored ever since.

2024 - owner decides he will never get round to tackling this project and asks us, Omicron, for assistance in selling. Car extracted from storage and brought to Omicron.
