Description
BMW Z4 E86 3. 0si M Sport 6-speed manual coupe YK07WKR
2007, 115K, FSH, silver, black leather, multi function steering wheel, heated leather sports seats, satnav, cruise, Xenons, auto lights, rain sensing wipers
Good overall condition. Powerful iconic 3. 0 N52, arguably BMW's finest 6 cylinder petrol engine.
Recent new front suspension including Bilstein struts, top mounts, ARB bushes, drop-links, control arms, wishbones, tie-rods, 4-wheel alignment.
Engine, gearbox and clutch strong, F&R discs and pads replaced by last owner some 6K miles ago. Decent tyre tread
Wallet, books and stamped service book with lots of bills and MOTs
Current advisory-free MOT to August 2025. No dash warning lights.
Known faults:
1. Oil leak from the usual culprit - rocker cover gasket, (NOT head gasket, valve cover gasket!). Not affecting the engine performance, just losing some oil. To do the job properly. it's best to replace the whole gasket set AND the cover itself. I've been quoted £400 to include a new cover, all gaskets, labour
2. Bonnet catch sticky, needs someone to push down while you pull the lever, very annoying!
3. Aircon functional but not blowing ice cold
4. Small hole in driver's bolster as shown
Otherwise, usual wear and tear at this mileage.
Priced to take into account the above known faults and any inadvertently missed. You're not going to buy unseen anyway, you'll have the opportunity to check the car out thoroughly.
Viewing anytime in West or East Sussex
Might entertain a good condition Mercedes R129 SL from 1990-2001 under 100K miles.
. --0-- . The Z4 coupe is a rarer beast than the convertible and has the advantage of a stiffened chassis, a hatch giving more luggage space and no worries from leaking roofs. Everyone to their own of course. :)
Excluding the Z4M, (more expensive and a completely different drivetrain), the Z4 coupe only comes with the most powerful 3. 0 engine. There were 2 variants, the SE and M Sport, either in manual or automatic. My car is the M sport version with sport seats and stiffened suspension and the added appeal and desirability of a 6-speed manual gearbox.
These cars are true sports cars, raw, firm, you have to actually drive them, be involved and you'll be rewarded with superb handling, steering feedback and revel in that deep throaty 6-cylinder roar.
An iconic engine in an iconic body style.
Full service history to include wallet, owners manuals and stamped service book with lots of bills and MOTs.
