Description
BMW New Six (E3) was a large luxury sedan produced from 1968 to 1977 and it was the predecessor of BMW 7 Series (E23). A 10 cm longer version was produced from 1974 to 1977 badged as 2. 8L, 3. 0L, 3. 3L and 3. 3Li. The longer versions are very rare as only 13. 580 cars were ever made (5. 036 with the 2. 8 litre engine, 5. 521 with the 3. 0 litre engine, 1. 622 with the 3. 3 litre engine and 1. 401 with the 3. 2 litre engine, badged as 3. 3Li). My BMW 3. 0L has the 3061370 chassis number (3. 0L LHD chassis numbers were from 3050001 to 3052529 meaning 2. 529 cars were ever made, 3. 0L Aut. LHD chassis numbers were from 3060001 to 3061807 meaning 1. 807 cars were ever made and 3. 0L Aut. RHD chassis numbers were from 3075001 to 3076185 meaning 1. 185 cars were ever made).
This vehicle produced in June 1976 and it was registered in Greece the 10th of February 1977. The first owner was a businessman who rarely drove it by himself since he had his private driver (chauffer). Years later the car was abandoned and was in terrible condition. The second owner and I, being the third one, restored the car in the exterior and I was ready to restore it in the interior but personal reasons force me not to do so. The car has been repainted in blue color (nachtblau metallic 040).
The straight-six petrol engine M30 (in this version is the M30B30V) is the BMW’s longest produced engine (1968-1995) and is being considered as one of the top engines of the 20th century. My BMW runs and drives almost excellent according to its age. The automatic transmission works perfectly and the car is generally in superb mechanical condition. The five digit odometer refers 66. 133 kilometers. 4 additional rims are included in its price, in case the new owner wants to fit winter tires.
It is registered as historic vehicle.
