For sale a 1992 Saab 900S convertible. This LPT variant is a pleasure to drive and holds its own within the modern world. The car is mechanically sound and whilst in my ownership I have completed the following:
• New front exhaust pipe
• Front anti-roll bar mountings
• New power steering pump
• New radiator
• New windscreen wiper linkage cable
• New battery and heat shield
• Clutch master and slave cylinder
• New offside front bearing
• New heater control valve
• Replacement gear housing – reverse lock removed
• New water pump
• Convertible roof motor rebuilt and seals
• New bushes
• Welding to jacking points and inner wheel arch
• Underseal (2017 & 2021)
• Bonnet and front wings sprayed (2017)
• Steering wheel refurbished
• Regular servicing
• New nearside front outer and inner wing (2022)
• MOT until 23 June 2025
Finished in black (170) with buffalo grey (E33) interior it is the only colour combination to have.
The car is a genuine example but does have some minor bodywork issues which is expected on a car just short of thirty years old. The three spoke wheels would need refurbing if perfection is the order of the day
The driver’s seat is showing some age but the interior is very neat.
The roof works well and was replaced in 2012 but there is some oxidisation of the front rail beneath the fabric.
The car also comes with full-service history, a black tonneau cover in bag, a set of 4 ‘bottle top/ cap’ wheels (original) and 2 x wheel arch trims again from SaaBits.
It would only take a small amount of time and money to rectify the above issues. A nice example of an iconic car in the perfect colour combination.
