Description
Talbot sunbeam s historic rally car
This car belonged to my father who unfortunately passed away, I have listed all I know of the history of the car but I am pretty sure there will be people out there who know a lot more about it than I do myself as this was a very well known car competing in over 300 events with some great results over the years.
Obviously it has been swapped and changed about over the course of time, but the fundamentals of the original car are still there.
Could easily be put back to its former glory.
It is a 1977 talbot sunbeam ti. The car was first owned by ‘Chrysler United Kingdom Ltd’ (I have a copy of original log book confirming this). Bought by the 2nd owner ‘Rodney Eyles’ in 1979 and converted to a rally car.
LSD, straight cut box, all steel sunbeam 1. 6 rally ti engine.
Dry stored and starts on the button, engine sounds as strong as ever, car drives well. Carbs will need setting up etc as it’s been sat for a few years now. It’s got the potential to make a good rally car once again. I have the original RAC rally books.
