Stalled restoration project - 1973 model Honda CB450 K6, manufactured 11/ 72.
This is a later version of the "Black Bomber", has 5 gears & front disc.
Purchased from UK importers as a Barn Find with the intention of restoring & riding.
If there is interest I will sell now - or eventually get round to finishing it.
I bid on several bikes that were less complete, worse condition or molested but they went for silly money.
This was one of the best I saw.
I obtained a Dating Certificate & registered it "Historic" - so have a V5 in my name & an age-related "L" plate.
This is a very complete bike with all original tinware - including silencers - in good solid condition.
Chrome is pretty good, paint on the tank is not great, looks better than it is.
The importers say they had it running & so I rigged up a tank & battery - it did start on the button & ran okay!
Part dismantled now - headlamp, instruments & mirrors off, I have got them.
I have refurbished the seat, fitted a new rear tyre, tube & brake shoes, fork gaiters & purchased some new parts including battery, chain & instrument rubber surrounds, (nos) h/ lamp ears.
Hydraulic & petrol hoses are perished, so front brake needs a complete overhaul.
Needs a new front tyre - then it's up to you how far you go with cosmetics.
Mileage may be genuine, it's been unused for many years.
