Selling my 1997 2. 4D T4 Syncro with rear diff lock due to family requirements.
Van is in good condition and has undergone a good amount of work since I have had it, with the main points being:
- ~2018 brake lines replaced
- ~2019 Alternator refurbished
- ~2019 new exhaust system from manifold back.
- 2020 Sills and arches sandblasted and replaced where necessary.
- ~2020 Viscous Coupling Serviced with new silicone and outer seals replaced in rear differential.
- 2020 Diff lock actuator replaced with one from a T5.
- 2023 Cam Shaft and Lifters replaced (also included timing belts).
- 2024 Rear wheel bearings, prop-shaft carrier bearings and prop-shaft CV joints replaced.
Other small jobs have been continually done to improve the van for example engine bay heater control, clutch pedal bracket reinforcement and gear linkage bushes.
As well as the mechanical work a rear wheel carrier is fitted and the internals currently set up as a day van including passenger swivel seat, lithium leisure battery and B2B charger, interior panels are attached with riv-nuts so easily changed. I have owned it since 2017 with two other owners in Northern Ireland before me, the van started life as a Transco fleet van in Great Britain and was re-registered in Northern Ireland.
