2004 MG ZT

Very nice condition for a car 20 years old with the odd inevitable blemish to the coachwork (see pictures)

65, 460 miles (May have crept up slightly through use).

MoT until end of February 2025, with records available to view online at HMgov. org.

Runs and drives very well with a terrific exhaust note.

Four new Nankang tyres.

Everything works apart from the climate control which blows cool rather than cold (probably in need of a regas).

There are no odd noises from the engine and the clutch appears strong. The brakes are excellent with plenty of meat left on the pads. However, the offside handbrake will definitely require adjustment before the the next MoT.

Central locking is fine, as is the boot lock, and there is no sign of water ingress. The headlining is in excellent shape.

Those who know these cars will note that the nearside rear indicator glass does not match the offside but I have the original, which, I think, is fairly easily repairable.

The coil packs have recently been replaced with new items from Discount MG/ Rover Spares.

The front droplinks have also just been renewed, so no strange clunks from the front end.

The bolster on the driver's seat has been taped up (picture) but the rest of the interior is in very nice condition.

There is little sign of chassis deterioration and the sills are sound

Unfortunately, the service history was lost by a previous owner, so I cannot vouch for previous maintenence, although the condition of the car in general would suggest the work has not been skimped.

Please be aware that a yellow engine warning light is showing on the dashboard

In summary:

Nice car that drives and sounds as it should.

Low mileage, with fresh tyres.

Only one key but the spare has the correct blade for emergency access.

Handbook and Haynes manual included.

The car is located between Derby and Burton on Trent. Viewing welcome.
