MG Y (A) from 1948 in impeccable condition. Vehicle in the hands of the current owner for about 30 years, having been bought in Portugal by a collector. It underwent a restoration about 20 years ago, with the aim of renovating it, as it had already been restored a few years earlier. The most important interventions concerned the engine, suspension and paintwork, having been impeccably maintained and very well preserved to this day. This Y model of the M. G. brand, was produced between 1947 and 1953, fitted with a 1. 250 cc with 46 hp, this version has some special features that make this model more exclusive than some of its direct competitors of the time, such as the interior all in leatherette, with wooden panel and very special octagonal-shaped gauges, sunroof, indicators, spare wheel in its own external compartment and under the boot, opening front window, high and low beam light switch with foot switch, lever jacks integrated on the engine oil pump, additional fog lights, advanced pedal system for the time, offering greater comfort and safety to the user. All equipment fully functional and in good condition. Vehicle with new tyres and battery. This rare 1948 MG Y (A) is in very good condition, has been in the hands of the current owner for some 30 years and was bought in Portugal by a collector who imported it from England. It has been practically used in vintage vehicle events, with a constant presence and has several stories to tell, such as the epic delivery of the vehicle, which, having been bought many kilometres away from the owner's home, was transported by train in the best 1930s/'40s style. This vehicle has been recognised as a vehicle of historical interest since it was restored more than 40 years ago by the body representing the F. I. V. A in Portugal.
