Description
1982 Series 3 Land Rover 109 Pick-up , 2. 25L Diesel
I bought this Series 3 from a garage and restored it onto a galvanised chassis. During the restoration the original bulkhead was repaired with new footwells and galvanised mudguards. A full new set of rear tub supports were fitted to ensure the truck bed remained strong.
The engine runs and pulls well without smoke. A new water pump, alternator, radiator and fluids were all installed to keep the truck reliable.
New brakes shoes and cylinders were fitted all round. New clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder and clutch disc were installed.
The truck is sitting on heavy duty leaf springs / shocks and original Series 3 steel wheels with a Bridgestone AT tyres.
Truck is a 1982 model and so is registered as a historic vehicle making it ULEZ, tax and MOT exempt, as such, the truck does not currently have an MOT, but I can have this arranged if desired.
I am open to sensible offers and happy to answer questions. This Series 3 turns head everywhere it goes and is a joy to drive. It is an ex-council vehicle and was grey when coming out the factory, then was painted yellow by the council where it then worked a life of recovering broken down vehicles with a previously fitted electric winch in the truck bed and capstan winch on the front bumper.
