Description
1300 Beetle in metallic blue. Good overall condition having been restored with a reconditioned engine in the past, now just needing some TLC.
Healthy standard engine recently checked over by Sussex Aircooled, fitted with new clutch (with cable) and Petronix electronic ignition including leads and coil. New NGK plugs, fresh engine oil and filter change. Various oil seals renewed and brakes adjusted. Halogen replacement headlight bulbs and tapered larger tailpipes also fitted by owner.
Sound chassis with Lanoguard treatment. Some small rust spots with surface bubbling on rear offside wing and rust around nearside headlight. Some brightwork (bumpers, indicator covers) and headlining could do with replacing.
Original seats in average condition with small splits on driver's side and tilt mechanism needs attention.
New standard style (repro) wheels fitted with Michelin X tyres all round (two brand new).
Leather aftermarket steering wheel will be replaced by standard one before sale. The car is a good runner and is quite unusual in this colour which draws a huge amount of attention.
