1965 TVR GRANTURA FIA TO APPENDIX K COMPETITION CAR

Grantura FIA eligible (competition car). Incredible condition following a total body off nut & bolt restoration to FIA Pre 1966 Appendix K.
Eligible for all Pre 1966 races.

The car has also had a complete refurbishment of the chassis. This is the later type griffith chassis.

All upgrades for reliability and being competitive in class.
The rebuild is documented with over 125 photos.

SPECIFICATION
Engine - Complete rebuild to FIA specification to be competitive in class and produce a healthy BHP.
Fitted with uprated twin SU's and a special stainless steel exhaust system.
Gearbox - Fitted with a new old stock close ratio helical gearbox for road and competiton use. This gearbox will be a lot quieter than a straight cut gearbox.
Competion clutch fitted, ideal for also driving between different events.
Axle is fitted with a new Quaife LSD. This was chosen for it's reliability.

UPGRADES
Front suspension refurbished to FIA specification including front brakes, disc's and calipers along with rear brakes.
Rear suspension hubs upgraded to the later new type for reliability and safety.
All the upgrades were carried out at no expense spared to a high professional standard.
New alloy fuel tank (fully baffled) fitted along with a new Facet electric fuel pump.
Competition towing eyes also fitted.
New competition battery fitted along with an electric cooling fan.

INTERIOR
New historic leather race seats which comply to FIA Appendix K with newly dated FIA seat belts (driver and passenger).
New compliant FIA extinguisher system fully plumbed in with 5 outlets including a hand held extinguisher for safety reasons.
Roll bar fitted which is also compliant to FIA standards with minor modifications.
FIA cut off switch and rain light fitted.

WHEELS & TYRES
Fitted with 4 new 5. 5J alloy wheels and new Avon ZZ road/ race tyres. Also available for circuit racing, new 5. 5J alloy wheels with 550L tyres compliant for FIA Appendix K. Please if your interested call me on the number shown in the listing

WHY FOR SALE
I built the Grantura for a choice of uses, not to just race the car and return home, garage it until the next race. It can also be enjoyed for road use, having a day out with a passenegr, or hill climbs. I chose a set of road legal wheels and tyres along with a set of FIA compliant race wheels and tyres not for road use. Both sets of wheels and tyres are included in the price. COSTS
The cost of purchasing the car along with all the work and upgrades completed, now exceeds £65K. Realistically priced for an all round competition car. Due to a major disability, I am no longer able to enjoy what is my pride and joy.
