A new hood and upgraded glass rear screen have previously been fitted and remain in as new condition. A dry, water leak free example with no signs of water ingress.
Bodywork is in fantastic condition especially given it’s now 23 years old with the panels having a lovely uniform paint finish and consistent gaps all round. Wheels are good to very good with only some very minor blemishes and have axle matching Bridgestone Potenza and Continental sport contact tyres all recent with minimal wear. Brakes are excellent all round with brand new discs and pads up front with the rears having lots of life left and the factory red calipers being in excellent order also.
The interior is superb and defies its age. The black combined with the carbon and silver options have aged very well and makes the cabin feels like a special place to be especially in comparison to some of the other colour combinations that were available. Still fitted with factory Becker CDR-22 head unit, the roof and electrics function perfectly without issues or untoward noise. AC currently not blowing cold, we’ll take a look at it in the new year if not sold before and expect it to be minor, for the moment it’s priced accordingly and not been re-gassed in recent years being a predominantly summer use roof down car.
It drives particularly well, tight and very responsive, possibly not a surprise given the low mileage and service history, If anything it’s been over-serviced in recent years, with the oil coming out as clean as the oil going in and carefully checked for signs of IMS issues of which there have been none. The roof fit and seals are very good with next to no wind noise even at high speed and the exhaust sounding superb without being in any way obtrusive.
Two keys, service book and owners wallet all present along with a folder full of invoices.
In summary it’s surely one of the better Boxster S for sale, sensibly priced, what an amazing entry into high quality performance Porsche ownership for very little outlay.
