Previously restored in 2012 at great expense.
The 1. 4 16v engine has had the cylinder head skimmed, valves cut and new oil seals when i did the head gasket. It has new radiator with pipes sensors and samco hoses, New Injectors, Expansion tank, and K 'n' N panel filter.
I put the last new front sub frame on from Rimmers, with a MGF steering rack with new tie rods, New Upper arms, Lower arms, all poly bushed including ARB, New hydrogas units with Knuckles, Spax adjustable front shockers and braided brake pipes and new genuine pads and discs All New Engine mounts and polybushed the Exhaust mounts and has a Stainless steel Intermediate and back box. Nice alloys all round with Yokohama A539’s.
The rear subframe I had shot blast and painted with the roll bar, New radius arms, Hydrogas units, Knuckle joints, stainless steel straps and rubber mountings! New Hand brake cable, brake shoes and drubs! I have also put the droop stop on the rear to over pressure the units for stiffer handling and lowered it by 10mm & Polybushed the ARB!
I replaced the tank with a low mileage one and replaced the sender unit and fuel pump for a Walbro high pressure pump and fitted Samco fuel pipes with a new fuel filler neck. Unfortunately it has been sat in storage for the past 10 years since.
In my opinion the car will want respraying with the arches and an area of the scuttle sorting (as pictured).
In summary the car is a nice example with some fantastic rare parts on it that will make a great car again one day.
