Description
I am reluctantly selling my 1989 XR4Ti. November 23rd 1988 build date and production ended about 1 month later so this is a very late build. I bougt this vehicle from the original owner last year. When I bought it, it needed a Transmission as there was No Reverse. It was stored in a garage for about the last 15 years.
Since purchasing, I have put a rebuilt Transmission in it. Vehicle runs and shifts great. Also replaced both Cam and Crank Seals, New Valve Cover Gasket, New Timing Belt, New Thermostat, New Throttle Body Hose, New Battery, Flushed coolant and Brake fluid and performed an oil and filter Change and new fuel filter. Also has 4 brand new tires. Car will need new Motor Mounts and Steering Rack rebuilt as current rack is leaking. Will also need an AC Compressor which was missing when purchased. However, I do have the high pressure hose included with the car. Grille is currently off the car but is included.
Paint is all orignial. One year only Radiant Red with the exception of the Passenger door which was replaced by the previous owner due to car behind hit in the door while parked. I do not have the original door. Paint can be buffed out and a good bodyshop can paint and panel match that door perfectly.
I also do have the Wheel Center Caps and Locks!!
Car has been a southern car since new. Bought new in GA and spent its entire life there. Pinch Welds and floors are rock solid. No rust ever. No accidents ever. Clean Title. Have original owners manual and both keys and wheel lock key.
Car is located in Kissimmee FL. Asking $5, 500 or Best Offer! Motivated Seller! The Merkur XR4Ti is great fun to drive and is a very rare car. They handle Great and many modifications can be done to the Engine to increase the horsepower. 1989 was the rarest year with only about 2, 850 produced. Very few survive today and values are going up.
