Description
For sale is an 1965 Austin Healey Sprite MK3.
The car still presents in its original black paint with red interior.
From what I know the car was last on the road in the mid to late seventies before having the engine removed for restoration work that was never completed.
The car appears to be complete of all its original components the engine and body numbers all match the registration.
The engine has been partially disassembled and will require a complete overhaul.
The body is fairly original overall though it has obviously had some fairly poor MoT style repairs in the past and outer sills riveted on to it.
It’s an excellent basis for restoring though there is some extensive work needed!
This is probably not a car for a first time restorer but it’s certainly not beyond repair.
Unfortunately damage was caused to both the bonnet and bootlid hinges by whomever removed the car from storage as the hinges were seized but are now snapped.
I am advertising the car on behalf of a very good friend of mine who is not on the internet and unfortunately no longer has the time and energy to carry out the work he had planned for this lovely little car.

GeorgeThere are not so many MK3 sprites on the market, restored correctly to the original numbers matching specification this will make a really lovely car for blasting about in over the summer.
