Description
Here we have my MX5 Eunos in Silver, low mileage at just 72k. Mot till June 2025 – no advisories on past few MOT’s. Being the Eunos model it comes with electric windows and power steering. Upgraded Sony Stereo with USB, Bluetooth etc. Has some subtle but nice modifications such as front lower lip, headlight vent, style bar and numberplate relocation.
Most importantly the car is very clean rust wise, sills and arches look great – previous owner treated the car to a full respray which most MK1’s need due to 30-year-old paint, with any problem areas addressed. Lower sills are solid metal and the bodywork is very clean and the paint really pops without even needing to be polished. Respray was around a year ago and many of the mechanicals I believe were also done at the same time – timing belt, alternator belt etc. Springs were also upgraded. Previous owner was a real enthusiast he even sanded and refinished the steering wheel and handbrake lever so they are nice and smooth. Soft top is in decent overall condition – no leaks. Comes with 2 keys and a folder of paperwork. Driving wise this is one of the nicest MK1’s I have driven, absolutely glues to the road, starts first time with lots of power from the engine, not lacklustre like some tired MK1’s. 1. 6 engine really is more fun than the 1. 8 as it revs so freely.
I’m an MX5 owner’s club member and purchased this car due to the clean MOT history, nice bodywork, lack of rust and the benefit of having had a full respray. I always like a MK1 that has been enthusiast owned as you know it will have had a bit more care and attention given to it. Only selling as I am planning to move soon, so could use the funds and space.
Overall a nice example of a clean MK1 that is ready to go, car has a great look to it, always gets loads of positive comments from people and is a bit of a bargain considering the condition and mileage, I’m sure I could get a lot more if I wait a few months but needs must!
Test drive and inspection is welcomed, strictly no timewasters, if you are just browsing and not sure you want to buy a MK1 MX5 please do not waste my time or your own. Any questions just get in touch, happy to have a chat on the phone about the car too.
