AN EXTREMELY RARE CAR – I WOULD NOT BE SURPRISED IF THIS IS THE LOWEST MILEAGE AND CLEANEST V90 LEFT IN THE UK.
This is a V90 model, renamed from the 960 and the last hoorah of the old rear wheel drive Volvo range. This is a much more advanced car than the earlier 960 and 940 models – with multi-link independent rear suspension and a huge array of interior gadgets. It benefits from cruise control, front fog lights, air conditioning/ auto climate control, heated full leather/ suede interior, electrically adjustable memory front seats, heated seats, electric sunroof, premium sound system with CD player/ tape deck with equaliser, wood dash trim and leather steering wheel.
The car is complete with its pull-out load cover, dog guard/ cargo barrier, floor snow trays and original carpet mats.
Easily the best colour combination available for this or indeed any Volvo – blackberry pearl metallic with cream/ caramel interior. In exceptional condition throughout.
There are no mechanical issues to report. The car is effortless to drive – the 3. 0 litre 6 cylinder, 200hp engine and gearbox are beautifully smooth with a good surge of power available when needed. No funny noises or rattles – she drives better than most new cars! You will not find a more comfortable vehicle!
The car was a pre-tax registered car, so the first owner was Volvo Cars UK – Triangle Volvo of Ealing. The first actual owner of the vehicle was a Mr & Mrs Patel, who owned the car from 1998 all the way up to June of 2020. The car then went through 2 more owners before I acquired it.
I have a stack of service history with the car, including various invoices, all the tax discs from 2004-2015, nearly every MOT certificate right back to its first. The service book, owner’s manual, and V5 in my name are all present.
The servicing is nearly all Volvo main dealer. I have invoices totalling thousands of pounds – the car has been cared for with absolutely no expense spared! The self-levelling ‘Nivomat’ rear shock absorbers were replaced in August of 2023. The cambelt was last changed in May of 2024 at 71650 miles. Last engine service in August of 2024 at 73700 miles. The tyres were replaced with a set of Continentals in September of 2024 at 74800 miles. The car also has a custom-made stainless-steel exhaust system.
All-in-all, a very well cared for and low mileage example of an appreciating practical modern classic. I guarantee you will not find a nicer example!
