Description
Museum quality and the only one of its kind on UK roads, it is in “as new” condition as it came out of the factory in 1967. it was first registered in the UK on 4th August 1967 and sold by Henley’s of Bristol a Toyota dealership at the time. I bought the car to drive but it's so good it's a shame to spoil it so it sits in my garage starting it now and again and driving just a few miles to keep it running, cleaning it down and covering it after every use.
The car has been the subject of a full nut and bolt restoration in 2020, and maintained regardless of cost, at the time of restoration, hardened valves were fitted so can use unleaded fuel without an additive, new clutch, water pump and an electronic fuel pump fitted at the same time. Recent work is a new full exhaust system, April 2024 and new front brake shoes, some re-chroming to the door handles rear bumper and other bits, Bodywork is excellent and bright, no rust, no filler it’s in solar red, original colour when new. Engine bay better than new, seats as new, car drives very well with no issues, starts first time every time (after all it is a Toyota) all door shut gaps better than any modern car, no rust no accidents original UK car, two sets of keys all paperwork buff log book, V5 in my name, owners Manuel, workshop Manuel all MOTs from 1970. old Tax discs, original registration number, spare wheel tool kit jack and wheel brace. I have the original receipt from Henley’s at two years old, when it was sold to its second owner who kept the car for 36 years. This model was the first Toyota model to come out of Japan into Europe and the UK it is an historic car and could easily sit in a museum. There are just two registered Toyota Corona RT-40’s in the UK the other one is owned by Toyota GB and kept at their headquarters in Epsom, Surrey. This car will come with a service kit oil & air filter, water pump, spare sets of points, set of seat belts, and new set of front brake shoes, also a full engine gasket set plus other spare parts. It is for sale for a reduced price of £13, 000 which represents a very good investment as it’s a “one-of-a -kindVery rare only one on UK roads and in perfect condition.
