Description
This stylish Alfa Romeo 2000 Touring Spider was sold new in the USA to an Italian who lived in Florida. This owner took the Alfa Romeo with him to Italy at a certain point in time. The Italian owned the car for fifty years before it was sold to a Dutchman in 2009. The car was brought to the Netherlands and registered for road use in 2010.
The car was kept in an Alfa Romeo collection and yearly driven to the Schloss Dyck Classic Days in the period 2012-2019 (Bedburdyck, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany). This Alfa Romeo 2000 Touring Spider is a true survivor. The car is very original and nothing much was done to it over the decades. The car was repainted a long time ago, and in the Netherlands the original engine was exchanged by another motor of the same type. The original engine is now fully overhauled and can be purchased separately (asking € 10. 000). This Alfa Romeo Touring 2000 Spider is in a fair overall condition, a driving project car. The car drives and is road legal in the Netherlands. Recently some rips in the seats were repaired (the seats need new foam), the car was made running again, and the brakes were serviced (frozen due to five years of inactivity). This Alfa Romeo Touring 2000 Spider can be modestly uprated and driven as a survivor, or the automobile can be partly/ fully restored. The choice is to a new owner and Alfa Romeo enthusiast!
