Description
Welcome to the sale of our part restored Arden Green / Silver Birch / Saddle Tan 1972 Rover 3. 5 Litre Coupe. The coupe is currently road tax and MOT exempt.
Due to imminent loss of storage in the new year we have to part company with this iconic Rover which we purchased from a Car & Classic advert back in August 2022. The coupe comes with current V5C in my name and an interesting transferable registration valued at £1000.
The advertised price means we are making a considerable financial loss given the original outlay back in 2022 and subsequent professional restoration work carried out so far.
A small fortune has been spent on the restoration / welding, purchase of repair panels and paintwork in our ownership. This includes both rear inner wings replaced, both sides of the boot floor, NSR chassis leg, both D posts, rear apron and both tonneau panels. Both rear outer wings and boot lid have recently been repainted in correct Arden Green body colour.
A new battery has just been fitted as has a new rear screen seal along with 4 new radial tyres and a Kenlowe fan is fitted along with the original to give extra airflow across the radiator.
All lights, chrome etc have been removed and stored in boxes as the coupe was being prepared for repaint. Chrome is in decent condition including the rear bumper. Interior will require some attention.
To answer the main questions that will no doubt be asked, it starts, runs drives and stops. The exhaust has a slight blow from the offside downpipe interface which may well be sorted out prior to sale.
Feel free to ask questions or request further pictures but please no stupid offers to "take it away"... The coupe is advertised elsewhere so may be removed if sold.
If you are looking for a winter project with a lot of the hard, expensive work already done then this could be the one for you. Make no mistake, it is a running, driving vehicle but still a "work in progress" requiring further outlay and expense.
