Description
Here we have a copy (not an exact copy) of a GMS (Geoff Monty special) later the Monard built on a BSA A65L oil in the frame frame
With a 250cc BSA gold star short stroke 72x60mm engine built in the 1960/ 70s. 1-3/ 16" GP carb, Lucas magneto, standard BSA gearbox, the engine was built using a custom built short stroke crank by Peter Stuart Marshal from Donnington his name is stamped on the engine cases
Rolling chassis Custom built closely to the Monard design with alloy seat and petrol tank, rebuilt alloy rims, leading link forks, TLS front brake,
"Monard was a combination of Geoff Monty and Dudley Ward's surnames around 1964/ 65 both were good racers, and used various engines Triumph, Norton, and i think as the GMS BSA
the bike has a BSA A65L frame number so could probably be registered with Swansea for the road
The bike will need some recommissioning and isn't running at the moment, although it's been in warm and dry garage, and is currently on "Castrol R"selling for a close friend who built the bike but doesn't have access to a computer
