Description

Had this for over two years, and it’s been super reliable. I even daily drove it for a while.

-4. 6L Modular V8, Plenty of power and sounds great, million mile motor used in the crown vics, Mustangs etc. This one has a modified exhaust with decats but have original cats there if you wish to return to stock.

-RWD with Ford 8. 8 IRS, Same rear suspension as the Cobra Mustang, handles really well. Has the aluminium rear control arms from a Lincoln MK8, stronger and lighter than factory, can be fitted with a cobra rear end polybush kit (80 odd quid on rockauto)

-Bilstein shocks and H&R springs all around.

The Good Stuff:

- Brand-new windscreen fitted in a few weeks ago, done to a high standard.

- Water pump and MAF sensor have been replaced (throttle body cleaned).

- Bucket seats and a stripped interior for a sporty vibe (I still have the back seats, seatbelts and carpets and carpet if you want to put them back). I had intended to just cut a piece of sheet metal and close the rear off, original front seats were in bad shape, hence replacement.

-Around 55k miles, serviced about 4k ago by myself (same oil filter as a V6 Mondeo!)

-S14 Rocket Bunny ducktail spoiler, have original too. Aftermarket Xenon side skirts and rear bumper

Extras Included: - New transmission filter, gasket, spark plugs and oil filter ready to go. Along with some suspension parts such as lower ball joints, drop links, new U joints (current ones are fine, new ones are just SKF heavy duty upgrades).

- Mustang T45 transmission casing if you fancy a manual swap by making an adapter plate, I had wanted to use a BMW box as they’re cheap, adaptable and strong.

** The Not-So-Good Stuff:**

- The paint is not great, never really bothered me, tyres are worn, and will need discs and pads soon, I had planned to upgrade to Mustang stuff all round as the mustang hubs directly bolt on which changes the PCD and gives better options like the 330+mm cobra discs. Some surface rust.

- Comes with a few spares to finish off some bits, but won't need a full blown resto, sunroof has been sealed as was leaking into cabin.

-No current MOT

I’m only selling because I’ve got my eye on another classic Volvo, if you have a 1987 or before Volvo 240 Saloon I'd take it as a p/ x or swap. Drop me a message if you want to know more or come take a look! Price is sterling, offers considered. Very rare UK side, shares a lot with similar year mustangs so parts are easy, potential to set these up in many ways as they’re starting to gain a dedicated following in the states, autocross, drift and track days.

This also has already had the rear control arms upgraded to the Lincoln MK8 aluminium arms, which are lighter and stronger than stock, apparently they do make a big difference in handling.

Originally a San Diego car, spent some time in Japan, I took it over from England a few years back.
