Description
Original 1972 Wood & Pickett Mini, based on a 1275 GT. In 1969, the owner saw a Wood & Pickett Mini in London and was fascinated by it. In 1972 he bought a new Mini and immediately sent it to Wood & Pickett for a detailed Margrave conversion at the Park Royal premises in London. A lot of work was done on the car; modified front end with twin headlamp system, full Margrave interior trimmed in best quality Connolly hide, Margrave Elite dashboard, eight-track stereo player with four speaker system, tinted windows, electric windows, etc., including the addition of an electric sunroof. According to Mr. Pickett this Mini had the first electric sunroof. The engine was kept untouched and is still in original and sound condition.
The car was in the owners London flat garage from 1972 till 1992 and virtually unused. The owner drove it for a few years in the early 90s and then decided to ship the car from London to Istanbul, Turkey. The car is currently at less than 20. 000 miles and kept in very good condition by its (first!) owner.
