I acquired the 928 S in May 2023 and the car was in good running order and I used it a fair amount during the summer while testing / combing it through mechanically with the more extensive work done winter 2023/ 24. A lot of the work below was done preventatively as its a 40 year old car so no chances taken on bolt on bits in every category of the car.
The initial work is done in conjunction with Sussex Automotive who I've entrusted for a good 15 years. I use the car in good weather only and so far have put around a 2500 miles on it since coming out of storage in April 2024. I get a bit itchy for a new project once I finish up a car so hence why Im floating it online.
Car was stored 2007 to 2014 in a storage place with most miles done before 2008. Recommissioned by previous owner in 2015 with all belts / liquids / brakes etc done. The car was then hardly used (see MOT History) and looked after at a basic level from 2014 to 2023. Receipts and invoices from this time is filed but not extensive. Recommissioning receipts are all there.
The 928 was also fully resprayed in OEM metallic Hell Bronze (winter 2023) minus the roof panel and hatch as it didn’t need it. The painter (Esser Works near Cowfold Sussex) did a brilliant job with bumpers, mirrors , trim, glass off (rear quarter ones). I professionally refurbished every single bit of trim / grille / splitter / spoiler etc. New licence plate holders / bolts / nuts / all indicator lenses / badges / decals / bulbs etc etc. The aim was to make a car that look new.

THE 928 HAS BEEN TO "928 SPECIALISTS LTD" FOR A FULL SWEEP OF THE CAR INCLUDING FULL FRONT END / LOWER ENGINE REFRESH OF ALL SEALS, TIMING BELT, TENSIONER, WATERPUMP, OIL SUMP REMOVAL, CLEAN AND RESEAL, NEW OIL LOWER LINES ALL AROUND, NEW ENGNE CARRIER / NEW ENGINE MOUNTS / ALL NEW BOLTS AND BRACKETRY, NEW HIFLOW RADIATOR / NEW HOSES / CAMSHAFT SEALS , oil sump refresh with new gaskets ETC, FULL CHECK OF PREVIOUS WORK DONE. ALL LITTLE NIGGLES SORTED, NEW 20/ 50 OIL AND FILTER, NEW BLUE FUCHS COOLANT, ENGINE FLUSHED, LEAK TESTED, ROAD TESTED, WHEEL ALIGNMENT DONE x2, EMMISIONS AND TIMING SET, SMOG PUMP DELETE, VARIOUS SMALL JOBS, NEW AUTO AERIAL, HEATER CONTROLS AND SPEEDO CALIBRATED ETC ETC.. CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH.
