Description
As far as ENGINE - TRANSMISSION - CAR BODY - DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHT - PERFORMANCE are concerned, the characteristics are the standard ones listed in the annexes. The special features of this specific car are: Left hand drive - 4 speed gearbox with Overdrive on 4th gear - Split front seats The car on the basis of the Production Record Trace Certificate of the Jaguar Heritage Trust was produced in August 1960, shipped to the Milan Distributor in October 1960. It was purchased by a company in Padua in February 1961 and resold to the current owner in April 1969. In the 1990s it underwent a complete restoration of the bodywork, interior and mechanics. The interior was reupholstered in red Connolly leather. All the briarwood parts have been restored by a specialised workshop. The mechanical parts have all been disassembled and checked (engine - suspensions - transmission) and a detailed description of the work carried out and any parts replaced from 1992 to 2022 is available. This car was also used for an article on the Jaguar MK IX for the Quattroruote Classiche magazine in February 2008, some photographs of which are attached.
