Description
I've got my 1992 passat for sale.
It started out as a basic 1. 8I Cl but has been convertered to a VR6.
The car is in great condition with a rust free shell, I've been under it and can't find any evidence of welding it's past.
It has a 126k vr6 12v and gearbox out a corrado.
The shell has around 150k.
The conversion was done to a high standard and the car runs and drives perfectly. It even gets pretty good fuel economy.
The engine and gearbox feel amazing, all the bushings were changed when it was converted so it handles great.
It has a 6 2 1 stainless manifold / downpipe that sounds amazing.
It also has a bespoke sump. It is baffled and adjusted so it clears the ground even with the lowered suspension.
It's sitting on Mx5 ND 17" alloys with a set of four matching toyo proxies.
Has all the rear discs and front brakes from a corrado and the larger front brakes that are drilled (EBC).
It has a set of coilovers with the adjustment spanners.
It is running USDM bumpers and lights. With a boot spoiler.
Has the correct vr6 badges throughout.
The interior has a leak free sunroof that works.
It has had four electric windows retrofitted, the front two units have just been replaced. They all work.
The entire interior has been reaplustered with the orginal VW fabric. It feels and looks like new. The front seats are heated with the correct vw loom and switches, they work great. The car comes with lots of spare seat material.
It has the rare centre console with the front armrest and rear cup holder.
Comes with documentation and the V5 is in my name. The DVLA have been informed about the engine change so it has been done legit.
On the negatives the bonnet and roof will require painting at some point, the sun has damaged the laqure.
The front handles probably need adjustment or replacing.
The car is a hell of a lot of fun, you can't imagine how much fun it is, I just want to try my hand at another build so need to focus on that!
I'm located in Northamptonshire.
