Description

I'm reluctantly selling my XJ6 Jaguar Coupe 4. 2 after owning it for 6 years as I have relocated overseas. I am the third owner and have taken great pride in maintaining the vehicle. It really is a unique classic in style, drive and build and is destined to be even more collectable over the coming years.

I would have shipped the car over with me but due to some unforeseen circumstances, during storage since the pandemic, I have now invested that money back into the car to bring her back to where she was mechanically.

Long story short... some rodents managed to get under the bonnet, chew through some wiring and make a bit of a mess. Since then.. I've had my mechanic in London fixing bits over the last couple over years, whilst being securely stored this time.

Some details...
- Complete brand new wiring loom installed (all electrics in working order by auto electrician)
- Both carburettors cleaned and rebuilt
- 2x Needle set kit + Flood set kit (carbs)
- New Engine oil + filter
- New spark plugs
- 3x Harness
- New Fuel pump. Both tanks cleaned with new lines.
- New water pump
- New Ignition coil
- 2x Brake callipers and brake pipes
- Choke repaired
- 4x New Tyres (white wall 3 quarter of an inch)
Plus much more!

I'm hoping to sell to someone who is able to continue to use, maintain and love this car as much as it has been over the years.
It's not pristine but an honest car. Both body and interior are in great condition with only a small number of imperfections. Body and paint restored around 2014 I believe. The roof is now solid painted black not vinyl. Original black leather interior is in great condition. Some pitting to some chrome which could be fixed sooner than later.

Black and yellow combination is standout in my opinion. It attracts a lot of attention on the road. Would be ideal for someone to continue to improve as they wish. Could be a nice project to work on whilst still being drivable. I will be adding more current photos as the come through soon (of the engine bay, etc).

Thanks,
DamienThe reason I bought the Jag... I always loved Jags since I was a kid. My dream was to own one one day... and the dream came true! Through a lot of searching and a bit of luck, this coupe came up which is rare so I jumped on it. As I said; it is a regrettable sale but it's not about me... it's about the car. Who knows – I might buy it back someday :)

My favourite things about the car - It's a coupe. The lines and stance are like no other. She's a cruiser.. and with no pillar between the windows the driving experience on a sunny day is amazing. I've also added white walls to set it off. I think she'll really suit it (yet for me to see in person). Will add photos of these too shortly.
